The history of accessibility on London's transport network.

The Olympic and Paralympic Games held in London in 2012 (2012 Games) were a moment of significant improvements in terms of accessible transport, as well as the subsequent expectations of future changes.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG)  placed transport and accessibility as a priority on the agenda, calling the 2012 Games “the biggest transport challenge that London and the UK have ever faced”

They developed a ten-point plan, the ‘Accessible Transport Strategy’, to strive towards improved accessibility.
