The history of accessibility on London's transport network.

This unit was created in 1984 to coordinate the different initiatives regarding making London's public transport more accessible. 

Engineers  and designers worked together to make buses and the  underground easier to use and architects modernised  stations to incorporate accessible facilities. 

This unit also trained the staff in how to offer help to disabled and elderly passengers.
